Atzeneta del Maestrat is situated approx 40 kms north east of Castellon de la Plana in the Communidad de Valencia.

There is a new airport under construction just 20 minutes drive from Atzeneta. This will be called CASTELLON AZAHAR and is schedules to be finished in 2009. The opening of this new airport will make a tremendous difference to this area and will open up The Maestrat for tourism and trade, bringing with it new roads, new businesses etc. And of course, in due course this will have an impact on local property prices which at present are amongst the most reasonable in all of Spain.

VALENCIA, which is the nearest airport, is approx 100 kms from Atzeneta and the journey by car to the airport takes approx 1 hour 10 minutes.

BARCELONA main airport is about 3 hours north of Atzeneta and is also accessible by fast train from Castellon. The train journey takes only 2 hours 15 minutes to the city centre with frequent rail shuttle links to the airport.

All main carriers fly into and out of Barcelona airport.

To the south, Alicante is approx. 3 hours by road and most main carriers also fly into and out of Alicante.
